Often our home misses blessings or isn’t further along because we are neglecting God’s house and not doing the work of building God’s house–His people, equipping and enabling them for a life of worship and service to God. Sometimes the #turningpoint we need is when we don’t seek the #turningpoint for us but the God who gives #turningpoints to others.
Doing the work of building God’s house requires courage–among the leaders and the lay people. We must continue despite comments of bystanders or faithless participants. We must continue despite the result not matching previous efforts of the past. We must continue no matter what looks like will be neglected. We must prioritize God’s house and not just our house.
It requires cooperation among everyone– president, preacher and people all working towards the same goal, doing their role to make it happen.
Finally, it requires confidence that the LORD is with you. We have a personal intimate God, the LORD, with us. We have a powerful God, the LORD of hosts, with us. We have a promise-keeper for our God. He speaks what He can and will do, then does it.
Be courageous to do the work, child of God; be cooperative in doing the work; be confident God is with you while doing the work. Your latter blessing shall be greater.
“~‘But now be courageous, Zerubbabel,’ declares the LORD, ‘be courageous also, Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and be courageous, all you people of the land,’ declares the LORD, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ declares the LORD of hosts (HAGGAI 2:4, NASB)”
