21st Church Celebration: “Making Right the Family: Families helping families”
October 1, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Greetings from the Pastor & Wife Greetings from the Pastor
Welcome to our Twenty -first Church Celebration. Despite the many challenges we have faced this year as families, it is a wonderful feeling knowing that God has been with us and that He continues to demonstrate His love, mercy, forgiveness and grace toward us. He has shown us through His word and His provisions that He is faithful and keeps His promises.
Our efforts this year have been to move families to action as we continue “Making Right the Family”. Colossians 3: 12-21 emphasizes modeling Christ by our life style. We have become much closer as a church family encouraging each one other through difficult times and learning the importance of operating in our Spiritual gifts. We have pulled together to reach out sacrificially to others in our community and throughout the State in their times of need.
Our vision, written over 21 years ago, states that Turning Point is a place of warmth, where families, members and visitors feel welcome and the presence of the Lord in the fellowship of our church family and enjoy a loving, learning and harmonious atmosphere, like the early Church. It is a place where the hurting and depressed, the frustrated, and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness and encouragement. It is a place where believers are equipped for a significant ministry by helping them to discover their Spiritual gifts and talents; then, we will send them throughout Austin to empower neighborhoods to make a difference by actively becoming involved as Christians with issues that affect the quality of their lives.
We are grateful to God for committed leadership and membership at Turning Point and for the love and support they continue to demonstrate. On behalf of Turning Point Bible Fellowship Church, we welcome all of our families, friends, and special guests to join in with us as we magnify the LORD. Let us worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth. Together, let us share the message of Hope as we model the family of God, beginning in our homes and spreading.

Pastor A. L. Sneed II is Pastor, Teacher and Organizer of the South Austin Community Church. His spiritual roots began in the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Austin, Texas where his biological and spiritual father is the Pastor.
He confessed and received the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 5. At the age of 7, he acknowledged his call into the gospel preaching ministry and preached his first sermon at the age of 8. While at new Jerusalem, he worked in many facets of ministry, which included Youth Pastor, Ministry Overseer and Sunday Bible School Teacher – just to name a few. He faithfully served there until March 2004 when the Lord called him to serve as Pastor of the Antioch Community Baptist Church in Buda, Texas.
In June 2005, he graduated from Austin Baptist Bible Academy and received a Degree in Pastoral Ministry. In October 2006, God led him to plant and organize the South Austin Community Church where he currently serves as Pastor. Under his leadership, the ministry has grown from an original 31 souls to now over 250 souls, ALL BY THE GRACE OF GOD!!! In 2009, he was named to the Austin Baptist Association Leadership Team and now serves as the vice Moderator of the ABA. In February 2017, the Church relocated to 1801 Pennsylvania Ave.
Truly God has blessed, gifted and anointed him to communicate the Word of God through the Power of the Holy Ghost and his spirit of humility and heart for God is quite evident.
He is favored to be married for 19 years to his high school sweetheart, Viviana; and they are blessed with 2 wonderful children, Victoria and Trey.
